My personal health and fitness journey came from a point in my life where I was overweight, unhealthy and miserable. I was struggling with my body image and a fitness level that couldn’t perform when it came to the fun and active life I dreamed to live. It was the summer after I finished high school, where I stood on the beach trying to hide myself in baggy clothing, that something inside me snapped. I finally accepted that I couldn't avoid my bad health anymore and that things had to change if I was ever going to be genuinely happy. This pushed me down the incredible road to healing my body, something that I had feared greatly and avoided for 18 years, but which I quickly learned to love!
I decided to become a personal trainer because I wanted to help others with what I lacked during my own path to health and wellness. Numerous times I had felt alone and unsure about whether or not I was doing the right thing. There was no readily available help that I felt comfortable seeking and I remember thinking time and time again that I would find a way to make sure no one ever had to feel the same. I am the happiest, healthiest and fittest I have ever been in my life and I want YOU to feel the same! Through my work as a personal trainer I have helped faciliate the transformations of so many women through weight loss, muscle gain and incredible lifestyle changes. Seeing people take charge of their lives and create true happiness with my guidance is incredibly rewarding. I am acutely aware of the impact every decision in my life has on the world around me. As someone who always strives to live my best most authentic life, I choose to live in tune with my innate values of kindness and compassion.
The biggest way I am able to do this is by actively choosing not to consume any product that comes from an animal.
In my quest to create a healthier world I encourage others to explore doing the same by taking a conscious and active stance in their lives, rather than an often passive one.
As someone who grew up in a household of three women and went to an all-girls high school, I strongly believe that empowering women is one of the most effective ways to change the world. I am a woman who has overcome the struggles associated with the sensitive topics of body image, being overweight and the pressure to conform to societies expectations. I feel deeply driven to help women overcome these obstacles through finding a lifestyle that creates health rather than oppression. Let's unite to create a healthier and equal world.
